kouyang95 0
Hi, is there a way for synergy to detect multiple monitors/displays for the server and client? I have a windows PC as my server which has two monitors, and I have a Macbook as my client which is hooked up to one additional monitor for a total of 3 monitors and 1 laptop screen = 4 displays, and this is how they are arranged on my desk: |------------| |------------| |------------| | | | | | | | Client | | Server | | Server | | | | | | | |------------| |------------| |------------| |------------| | | | Client | | | |------------| Is there a way to get this configuration in Synergy? Thanks!
jml 50
Well... no. Synergy's blissfully unaware of multiple monitors on a host; it sees multiple monitors as a single virtual monitor space (because in fact that's what the host tells Synergy it has). So to Synergy, you have two hosts with two monitors, not two hosts with four monitors.
GranPaSmurf 108
Well, sorta'. Synergy sees multiple monitors as one. Therefore, if you position your lower client beneath only the right half of your dual monitor server, then the transition span will be only from your right side server monitor...and the left 1/2 of your client monitor.
