Need help installing Synergy 2.0.10 on Debian 9 (Stretch)

Recommended Posts

As per the documentation, Synergy 2 should be installable on Debian 9 (aka Stretch). Even the download page gives me a .deb file intended for Debian Stretch.

Unfortunately, I can't get this to work... Has anyone had any success with this ?

The output on a freshly installed Debian 9.4 box:

The problem seems to be the dependency on libssl1.0.0 which does not exist anymore in Debian Stretch. However, I'm not sure how to fix this without messing up stretch with old packages from jessie, or how Symless got the package to compile like this on stretch in the first place.

A bit sad to see no reply to this post in 2 weeks (noone using Debian Stretch at all?), but on the bright side I can report this issue is fixed in v2.0.11 after reporting it through the official channels (Thank you Symless support)

I'm receiving the same errors attempting to install 2.0.11-stable on a fresh install of 9.4 (Stretch).

What was the fix for this?
