Hypersphere
Synergy 2.08 seems much more prone to lags and disconnects than Synergy 1 versions. I suspect that the culprit might be encryption, but there is no obvious way to disable this feature. It is frustrating that Synergy 2 has no setup options or user-accessible controls. When something goes wrong, there is no way to address the problem other than submitting a help request.
GranPaSmurf
Yeah, it's the nature of the beast. Send the info to support. They WANT to hear from you.
Hypersphere
Thanks for the advice. I did also submit a support request, but I thought it might help to post to the forum as well. Although the forum is not intended as a way to get tech support, I suppose the Synergy developers look at the forums, and if a given issue appears frequently, it might enhance the priority given to the issue. GranPaSmurf
The lag and stuttering mouse effect has multiple possible basis. Obviously, something is chewing up resources. In my case it was an old Win7 that needed to be defragged. To start troubleshooting, try stop/start Synergy service. Next step would be rebooting the computers. Lastly would be a thorough un-install, purge EVERYTHING Synergy (I use a third-party uninstaller) then re-install.
