Kenneth Pilcher Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 When using photoshop, sometimes synergy will cause things to start acting strange WITHIN the photoshop program. Things like not being able to click and drag the document window, or shift click to select multiple layers, to click and drag out a select box (marquee tool). I am not the only one to have this issue, I found this: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop ... _photoshop these people found the issue to go away when synergy was stopped.
Dustin Poissant Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I am having the same issues, its not just Photoshop it is ALL Adobe products including Reader and Illustrator.
Roy Tanck Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 I too am experiencing this. Very inconvenient because the reason I'm using a Windows PC alongside my main Linux box is Photoshop.
Johannes Gardelöf Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 I am having the same issue with Photoshop.
Mike Gozdiskowski Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Same problem across multiple Windows 7/10 machines. Left click and drag stops working entirely, which makes Photoshop useless as you can't select, use any tools, or move any layers. For me it is not a sometimes issue. It doesn't work at all even after restarting the machine. I can restart the Synergy service after opening Photoshop and it will work for a couple of minutes only. Also, it doesn't matter if Synergy is actually being used or running. I was experiencing this on a machine that I previously used Synergy on and is now standalone. Synergy was not running, but the service was still starting up. This behavior seems to exist as long as the Synergy service is running. Are there any plans to fix this? I've tried the beta and issue exists there too. EDIT: After playing around a bit more on Windows 7, it seems to be related to the "Elevate mode" option under settings. Photoshop seems to work fine while this option is disabled and service is still running.
Joshua Lund Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Just want to chime in that I have been having this issue as well. I would consider this a major bug, as both Photoshop and Synergy are essential to my workflow. I have Windows 10 on all 3 machines that are connected with Synergy.
somnium Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Hello, Could you please have a look at: https://github.com/symless/synergy and see if this issue is listed in the bugs that has been reported. If not then create a report there. Thats the easiest way I guess to get your voice heard to the developers.
Jenel Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Unfortunately, some apps, like Adobe and MS Office, prevent Synergy from properly communicating mouse moves, which breaks text select. Most users are able to get around this by enabling Relative mouse moves on the server, and switching to Elevate mode on the (Windows) client. To make this change, follow the instructions below: Open Synergy on the server Click on the button labeled "Configure server..." Click on the tab "Advanced server settings" On the right hand side, check the box labeled "Use relative mouse moves" Click "OK" Click "Apply" or "Start" Open Synergy on the (Windows) client Go to Edit > Settings > Elevate Mode Click "Apply" Also on the client, press the Scroll Lock key on the keyboard. This should prevent your mouse from leaving the screen. Press it again to be able to switch back to the server. Some users report that they find a sequence of keys to restore drag-select. This ranges from as simple as just pressing the Windows key to combining modifier keys, plus tab and escape. I haven't found any that work consistently, however. Some users just stop Synergy when they need to work in these apps. If this is the case for you, just let me know and I can refund your payment.
