Dragging browser windows across screens via browser extension

While dragging windows across two different computers may be close to impossible, I was thinking it might be possible to achieve a similar effect through browser extensions, i.e. when someone drags a tab to the edge of a screen, it would be possible to open a tab with the same url through a browser (at least in firefox/chrome) extension. There would have to be a warning of a loss of form data and cookies, so it might be advantageous not to close the original window unless specified.

I haven't thought about this too much so I don't fully know if there'll be any potential hurdles or other drawbacks, but I thought this might be a clever solution/workaround to a commonly suggested feature.
