Synergy 1.7.3 - Windows To Mac Issue?

Hello all! I've purchased Synergy Basic, and am trying to set up connectivity between my Windows 8.1 Desktop and my OSX 10.10 iMac... At times, it's successful, but at other times the iMac seems to lose connection and I can't re-connect it. I am an app developer and dragging and dropping files from Windows to OSX would be incredibly helpful, the project files I'm working with are ~1.5 GB so maybe the file size is a bit too big?
