It was working this morning, but when I came back it is not.

I rebooted a couple times and it is not working. Both machines (win10, win7) are at 1.8.8

I checked the IP and it looked like it did not match so I updated to match the server

The issue seems to be that the client changed its name (that I had set back when I tried to customize it, but then set it back) to a temporary change. Strange - It dug out some version of an old name. Frustrating.

Well, that's weird if it changed it's name by itself @damian c. Basing it on the logs, it seems that the service is having problems running. Try stopping Synergy on that machine first and click File and Quit. Then turn that machine off for 15-20 seconds and turn it back on. Then launch Synergy again.

When you ask to shut the machine off, are you suggesting shutting the entire machine down, or just Synergy? Typically, shutting entire machine down is problematic.
