There's a lot of things to consider in networking. For us to check on it further, please open command prompt and type in "ipconfig /all" and hit enter. Do it on both machines and paste your results on

Hmmmmm... This sounds weird.Ā Is it possible to disable the your VMware network adapters first? After disabling your those adapters, turn off Wi-Fi first. Open an elevated command prompt (run as admin) and type in "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter. After returning as successfully flushed, reboot it. Try to reconnect after rebooting.

I understand thatĀ @JoeNoIce. What I am aiming for is to get more details about the possible restrictions your third party firewall can implement as it might affect Synergy's functions.

Any ideas,Ā @Andrew Nelless? The machines can ping each other, and @JoeNoIceĀ checked that it's not a problem with the firewall, but he's seeing this error...

WARNING: failed to connect to server: No route to host

And this one too...

WARNING: failed to connect to server: Timed out

I'm pretty sure the server is running... or, maybe the auto-switch server feature is confusing things?

Could you try disabling the firewalls on both machines temporarily?
