Turning off SSl in Yosemite on a Macbook pro

Using latest version Synergy, which doesn't connect to anything ever, I am trying to turn off SSL but there is no preference directed to it in menu bar. If I hit show all I get is a configure server & a log but no way to turn off SSL. Whereas windows is no problem because it has a setting edit fn. So how do i turn of SSL? i tried reinstall but still no SSL settings!
