Lock Both Server and Client with WIn+L

Recommended Posts

How can I configure both Server and Client to be locked with Win+L.

I work in a secure location and this is an imperative need.

Hi Rob Yardman. Please provide us more details of each machine. Like OS version, desktop or laptop, Synergy version installed and keyboard layout?

Win 7 on both server and client. Standard English QWERTY keyboard. Server is a docked laptop with dual monitors and client is a desktop with one monitor.

Hi Rob. There's an existing open issue on GitHub for this as an enhancement request. You can check it on this link. I have also posted the setup of your machines to help the team better.

I know this thread is super old at this point, and unfortunately that github link is now a 404, but this is the most pertinent post I'm finding in my searches of the forums...

Was this enhancement ever introduced, and if so how can I enable this feature?

I've tried experimenting with hotkeys, but win+ scenarios do not seem to be supported... could totally be user ignorance, and am happy to learn if there's an easy solution I'm missing.

Win10 latest on both server and client for my setup.

Thanks!

This is still open as a feature request. The plan is to be able to use Win + L to lock all computers.

I am not able to provide a timeframe for this however, as it is still being reviewed to determine how best to implement it.
