2. This appears to still be occurring on 1.13.0-stable-bdb8f767 build date 29 Dec 2020 on Linux Mint 20.1 MATE.

 3. Add the ability to share audio hardware as we do with peripherals like keyboard and mouse. I am aware of other projects/API available like PulseAudio (https://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/PulseAudio/), Jack (http://jackaudio.org/) that can do audio routing through network but limited in several aspects (not user-friendly mainly). The ease of configuring synergy inspires me to have such a thing for audio hardware too.

 4. Hi, guys. I'm using Synergy (version: 1.11.1-stable-55ec3105) with multiple languages which are English and Korean. When the server is set the language with English, I can input all the languages on client. However, when the server is set the language with Korean, I 'cannot' input all the languages on client. I found out that this issue has been discussed for a few years but I cannot find any clear solution. Is there anyone who knows the solution? Thanks in advance. BR, BennyLim.

 5. 1. Being able to type on secondary screen while primary computer is not set to english 2. Switching languages on secondary screen that works (currently it works rarely, and requires restart on the client to get it working again) I'd love to see support for multiple languages work without having to always work around it.

 6. On the server config page, check "Use existing configuration" instead of "Configure interactively". You will then need to create a configuration file, which, if I recall correctly, Synergy will give an *.sgc extension. Feel free to use mine as a starting point, see below. For reference, my screens are arranged as: Fractal Dell_laptop surface-pro-3 Hope that helps. section: screens Fractal: halfDuplexCapsLock = false halfDuplexNumLock = false halfDuplexScrollLock = false xtestIsXineramaUnaware = false switchCorners = none +bottom-

 7. Hi. I've bought Synergy just earlier today - from the first impression, works quite better than Mouse Without Borders. I've quickly bumped into a small problem though. I have two devices - a desktop computer (server), and an average-sized x86 tablet (client). Both are running an English version of Windows 8.1 32-bit. Both have two input languages - English and Russian. The problem is: 1. Switching languages (set to Ctrl+Shift, if that matters) while on the client machine doesn't work as intended - indeed, it switches the language, but if the server' language is set to English, it'll continue

 8. Hi there. Windows 10 server, Debian client. The Server is a desktop with a static address on an ethernet NIC, and the Debian client is a laptop with both wifi and ethernet through a dock both with separate static addresses. The client likes to connect to the server primarily through my wifi interface. I'd like it to only connect via the ethernet interface (which coincides with when the laptop is actually docked right next to my Windows displays. The messy solution I have is to simply block the Synergy port via an iptables rule for the wifi interface. I'd just like to have a bind to IP/interfac

 10. I am running synergy 1.13 client on osx 11.2.2 big sur with a windows 10 server. It is extremely laggy! and i get the spinning beachball of death if i move the mouse around a lot. There is no lag at all on the machine next to it that is running 10.14.6 Mojave (and is a slightly slower machine). Both are on the same wifi network. Please help

 13. @joebob disabling AirDrop worked for me. I noticed that hardwiring into my network worked very well, but that also disables airdrop (if wifi is off). Disabling AirDrop is my suggestion for anyone searching this now.

 14. It happens for me even with webpage password fields in chrome - but it needs to be foregrounded to cause the issue there. My biggest issue has been Chrome Remote Desktop, as the window might be open in the background, but if it gets logged out (as it does from time-to-time) it will show the password to log back in, and as you say, for native apps, it does not need to be in the foreground... queue WTF moment.

 15. Small addition in case anyone is not aware. There are 2 causes of this that I am aware of: 1. If there is a password entry field open on the Mac server, keypresses will not go over to the Windows client. I'm sure this is intended from a security point of view - but it would be great to have some sort of indicator so we know whats going on, but appreciate that might be unlikely. 2. Unknown. The client stops receiving keypresses the same as though there is a password field open - but there isn't one. See thread for various solutions to this one.

 16. Bitwarden was causing the issue in my case. If Bitwarden is in LOCKED state at server computer, Synergy was not able to get the key strokes in client computer. Once I logged in or Quit the application, Synergy is working fine.

 17. Hi Symless, Clever product but a long way to go to make this a seamless product (yes, intended pun) : Provide an option to auto-start when booting the server and client. Use auto-config as the default option When an incoming client request is received by a server, put the name of the client in window of "denied" clients (the log indicates which clients are being denied) Allow user to drag "denied" client into the "permitted" window. Your software is case-sensitive which means the user manually putting in the client name can cause numerous issues. On MacOS,

 18. So currently Synergy 2 is not supported on most modern systems, which means I have to fiddle around with it to get it to even work on a system. You want to move to version 3, but that is not even on the horizon yet it seems. You are actively, heavily, looking for new folk to help development. So much so that you spam via newsletter to try and find someone. This paints a dire picture of the state of Symless. Maybe release the source, close up shop, go to business school and do some online courses on programming. Sorry to be so blunt, but expecting paying customers when

 21. I thought this would solve it as well. But even if you tick Auto-Config it keeps forgetting it on both the client and server. this is for latest BigSur.

 22. Hello You are missing an option from the menu to set it to auto-start the server. Unless you mean the option to use auto-config to do so. this is poorly explained and written in the app. Please advise how to auto-start the server on macOS Catalina and BigSur.

 23. AirDrop was the culprit for me. I noticed it got really bad when I opened my phone to send a photo to someone. Disabled AirDrop from Finder on the Mac side got rid of the repeating stickiness.

 25. I've recently had to configure a new setup too and Synergy 1.12 has simply defeated me. In case you need an alternative try it's opensource clone. If you happen to have only Windows machines feel free to try Microsoft's own alternative. It has all the features Synergy has but they actually work (like drag and dropping a file, sharing clipboard, working when server is on lock screen). I really wish Synergy 3 gets me back as I do need a Linux client, but I also need to write accented characters now very often now and Synergy can't do it properly yet.

 26. I'm having issues with my mouse freezing, and also key presses "freezing" in mid-press. In other words, sometimes the input will "freeze" for two or three seconds... and if I happened to press a key at that exact moment... it will register as having been held down until it "unfreezes." So for example. I was about to type the word "this" and then this was typed "thhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhis..." instead. 27. I have 2 laptops, each with one external monitor above it, so it looks like a 2x2 grid, where the left 2 squares are Computer A, and the right 2 squares are Computer B. Computer B is the host. For this post, I will refer to each screen as "A:Top" or "B:Bot", like so: |-------|-------| | A:Top | B:Top | |-------|-------| __________________ |-------|-------| | A:Bot | B:Bot | |-------|-------| I have successfully connected using both Synergy 1 and 2, but with both, I have this weird problem. I cannot make my mouse go directly from B:Bot -> A:Bot. I can, however, go from B:Top ->

 29. I see v 1.12 is now released, can't seem to see any release notes for it? There used to be a release notes page but saee that no longer exists, can't see a release note entry in the blog either like there was for 1.11. Any details around somewhere?

 30. Hey all, I have found a workaround for those of us with certain monitor layouts, like my 3x server and 1x client centered above. By saving and editing a server configuration file, I was able force the corner size to the width of my outer monitors, making synergy ignore them completely. Here are steps to do this, all on the server: Select File > "Save configuration as..." and save the file somewhere. Easiest to use .sgc extension though it doesn't force you. Open the file in a text editor, and find this line: switchCornerSize = 0 Change to desired widt

 33. As of August 2020, I couldn't figure out how to start the GUI with correct server address (Using Synergy as client)... but, I did manage to get the service started silently and I can live with that. I think Synergy has a bug where it saves it's first config file in /tmp folder and thereafter it doesn't pick up the config file even if you save it multiple times. Or it doesn't pick up the config file for client starts at all. Anyway solution on Raspberry Pi 4 (4Gb running latest Raspberry Pi OS May 2020 with updates). Edit /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE-pi/autostart. Note the -pi in the folder nam

 39. I don't know if this falls under the coming features ("Tinker-y" Settings panel) or (Making the window size and elements dynamically adjustable) but I'd really like to see better position control for multi-monitor setups. I have two adjacent monitors to my main screen, but my right one is in portrait mode. So it is taller than the other two. My second computer screen is above my 1st computer's primary display. But I can't drag my mouse directly to it. I have to go to the taller screen to the right since it has the highest point of my setup. However, I'm able to move my cursor down to my main

And then also the application isn't showing in my apps. so I had to run it from the terminal. dpkg-deb -R synergy_1.11.1.stable~b58+55ec3105_ubuntu19_amd64.deb nameOfFolder cd nameOfFolder sudo mv /usr/share/applications/synergy.desktop usr/share/applications/synergy.desktop.dpkg-new cd .. && dpkg-deb -b nameOfFolder synergy.deb sudo apt-install synergy.deb synergy

 41. Hey guys. Not a very good fix but wanted to let you know that I have managed to get things working on my particular setup. I use a Mac (running 10.14 Mojave) as the server and a Linux box (Cinnamon) as a client. I have managed to get things working by installing the old (1.8.8-stable-c30301e) https://sourceforge.net/projects/synergy-stable-builds/ on the Mac. I then installed the new Beta 2 of Synergy on the linux machine (using the ubuntu build). It's not perfect and has dropped a couple of times but it seems to work. I thought I would share in case anyone wants to run

 45. They've responded to my email, but we're still in the process of investigating it. If ever they do find fix, I'll post it here. On the other hand, if I find some workaround, I'll post it here as well. Oddly enough, I tried the latest install again, and I'm not experiencing disconnections. I still experience lagging though. Though if anyone can, it would help the devs if we get logs off the machines with client disconnects / lags. I'm trying to get logs now so they could find out what's wrong. Unfortunately (or fortunately?), I'm not experiencing the client disconnects as before, so I can'

 47. It takes a little work, but it is possible to use Synergy over VPN without split-tunneling. Here is what I did. 1) Register yourself a free (or paid if you don't want 30-day nags) dynamic DNS address (DDNS) from a place like dynDNS or no-ip 2) Register for the Pro version of Synergy to get that sweet, sweet SSL security. You're going to be opening some pin holes, so best to keep the connection secure while in transit 3) Select a non-default port for Synergy to use - again security precaution From you home network router: 4) Create a DHCP reservation or assign a static IP for your s
